 AFC has the only Olympic level, European trained coach in the State!

 AFC offers an unique opportunity to work with the highest level fencing coach in the state. Coaches of this caliber are usually found on the East or West Coasts. We are very fortunate to have this level of instruction available to us here in Arizona.

Florin Paunescu (foil and sabre) has developed several Valley students to the upper levels of national (and international) competition. Check out his bio on the Coaching Staff page. 

Teresa McBryan (second from right) earns a 5th place medal at the 2010 Arnold Fencing Classic in the Y-14 foil event.  The tournament was held in Columbus, Ohio in March.  

AFC members compete in local, Regional Youth Circuit, North American Circuit, and World Cup events!
